What is a Men’s Shed
It is a friendly and welcoming place where men no matter what age, with some time on their hands, can come together to share skills & knowledge, and make new friends. But its not just about making stuff, its about mental health as well. We all know men are not great about talking, no problems with football, GAA etc, but not about whats wrong or bothering them. In this environment they can chat, make friends and maybe just ask for help. This reluctance to talk can lead to isolation, loneliness & depression. At the Mens Shed there is no pressure, men can just come for a chat & a cuppa.
How To Join The Men’s Shed
Loughrea/Carrabane Men’s Shed have meetings every Tuesday morning from 10:30-1:30 and Thursday afternoon 1:30 to 5:30. They have open days on the last Thursday from 4:30pm of the month for prospective men to call in and meet the group. If you would like more information, please call 087 977 9009
